Luke Frost gained a BA Hons
in Fine Art at Bath in 1998. He has exhibited at many mixed
shows both in London and the Westcountry.
He has been commissioned by ASK Restaurants UK, and a
collection
for the Bank Of America.
Luke Frost's work is characterised by strictly formal arrangements
executed with meticulous
attention and sensitivity to colour
and composition. His painterly skills produce works that are
instantly distinctive. The 'SUPERVOLT' and 'CHROMAVOLT'
series of paintings are derived from the exploration
and interpretation
of architectural urban structures, neon and fluorescent lights
in the modern cityscape.
They represent speculative portrayals
of a romantic utopian vision. The work is penetrative, and
explores
in considerable depth, the contrast, balances, rhythms
and saturation of colour in a structural environment and have
been described as Cool Colour Compositions.
