This exhibition of Paul Vanstone's sculptures will show his progression over the past several years in portraying that most compelling subject- the human face. The beauty and power of the faces shown here are intensified by the choice of the medium. Paul has travelled widely to discover and experiment with different materials and finishes. In this exhibition he shows works in bronze, gold leaf on plaster and marble. Paul states about his work: Paul Vanstone studied for his BA Hons in Fine Art concentrating on Sculpture at Central St Martins School of Art and then went on to study for a Masters degree in Fine Art at the Royal College of Art, graduating in 1993. He has gained many prestigious awards and commissions among them, are the Henry Moore Award and Lord and Lady Carrington's Sculpture Garden commission. Paul has shown his work in a number of major solo and group exhibitions. |
